Biography
|
David was born in Lincolnshire, studied graphics, worked as a lettering and decorative artist. Living in the West Country, London and the North West, he has exhibited widely in mixed and one man shows. His works in oils, acrylics and mixed media, incorporate a variety of materials from photographs to natural and found objects. His influences derive from surrealism, ecology, conservation and the environment and aspects of nature and landscape. The works are both meditations and observations. They are about life's movement through ecosystems and habitats. There are elements of chaos theory, texture and pattern reflecting the ebb and flow of energies evident in growth and decay. His aim for his work is connection to a "spirit of place". |
